Nintendo wants to bring MonoGame Framework to Wii U

According to Siliconera, Nintendo is interested in bringing MonoGame, an open source implementation of the Microsoft XNA 4.x Framework, to the Wii U.  As Siliconera points out in their article, the framework has been used for such games as Fez and Bastion, and this could be exactly what Wii U needs to bring plenty of XBLA games over to the Wii U.

Recently, our site interviewed Bootdisk Revolution about the possibility of bringing “Bleed” to Wii U, but they said it would be difficult without XNA.
